Hi! My name is Isabel (Penado) Barbosa and I’m a portuguese illlustrator based in Lisbon. I also have a degree in Law, a post-graduation in Family and Children’s Rights and a post-graduation in Family Mediation.

My main interests are Picturebook making, Children Book’s Illustration, Character Design and drawing everyday matters in my sketchbooks!

I love to use mixed media to create textures and colors that bring the drawings to life. I create illustrations that are relatable, cozy and inclusive. With or without words, I look for a story, preferably one that speaks to everyone in some way, in every drawing I make.
